Nothing like this is ever 'easy', even a like for like change can cause problems.

I would give these guys a ring, they are well known and well thought of with experience of what your planning.

You might test the water with them by suggesting your looking for someone to do it for you if you supply the car, engine, etc to get idea of price, what's involved, etc.

One thing i would seriously ask you to consider is that performance increases should be done as a package, you need to consider improving other areas such as the suspension and particulally the brakes.

More power/torque puts added stresses on other areas which were designed to work within a tollerance of the original engine.

Yes.

And you would need the driveshaft as well and some wiring due to different engine computer. The engine will mount directly, and it is best if you can pull the engine and the ZF transmission as single unit. Bentley manual would tell you otherwise, but I found that it would take less work than trying to remove all the torx bolts from the transmission bell-housing.

I would think you can pull it out of engine bay in about 6 hours if you are experienced in doing this type of work. If you have to disconnect the transmission under the car, that alone should take least 2 additional hours of labor.
I wouldnt bother the M3 has uprated suspension, breaks and all sorts.

It would be a pointless waste of time, the 325 is a lovely fast car as it is!
It'll fit but God you must be brave!! Think you'll have to change a lot more too, Exhaust, Suspension, brakes etc. Good Luck.
Yes! same body shell. make sure you swap all engine managment computers and the fuel pump(standard one wont provide the right presure for fuel)
