2000 BMW 328i turns off when car is in park only. Once out of park, it runs like a dream. Please hel

The idle speed of the engine could be too low, caused by a possible idle valve problem. The engine is under more load when it is in park than it is in neutral or when driving. I don't really think the starter inhibitor switch would cause this as the engine is already running. The inhibitor switch only cuts out the starter motor.
