the "c" in the "ci" stands for coupe giving you only 2 doors on the auto, where the i gives your both options of 4 or 2 doors. The auto industry just marks the models slightly different for ordering and accounting purposes.
I have a BMW Ci convertable. In my case it stands for convertable.
Also, the Ci can be a convertible.
