The radio code is in your owner's manual. You will find a card inside the back cover of your "BMW Anti-Theft CD-Ready Radio Owner's Manual'.

If it is not here then you need to pull the deck out far enough to get the serial number from it. Take this and your registration papers (proof of ownership) into your local BMW service department and they can get you the proper code.

To change the display language:

Get in the car and close the door.

Turn the ignition to position 1 (radio works but nothing else).

Press and hold the Check Control (CC) button in the dash. The Check Control is the button to the right opposite the trip meter reset button.

Hold the button in for about 20 seconds then the language will display. In this case 'duetsch' will display.

Release the button and hold it down for another 10 or 20 seconds and the next language will display.

Keep doing this until your language is displayed.

English US is followed by English UK.

Whatever language you stop at and turn the ignition off at is the set language.
