you were to get one of the 2 and if they were same price which would you pick and why. please consider exterior and interior design, performance, and fuel economy, and which is most luxurious too.

X5 - it's more reliable. The ML350 may look better and classier. BMW is a performance car. Benz is a luxury car. Both cars have oddities related to maintenance and repair. I recommend learning basic maintenance procedures for either car to extend the life and improve the performance of the car. You'll be surprised at how different modern BMWs and Benzes are. You'll need to have a lot of time, money, and patience to have a Benz serviced at the dealer.

2008 Audi Q7 because its better looking with the same technology and performance as the BMW and Benz.
It is also newer than the other 2.
ML looks a lot classier, has good performance, but the BMW does too. Kind of hard to say, as they are both way out of my price range, but I would probably go with the Mercedes. BMW SUV just seems too much like an oxymoron to me, no matter how good it may be.
