Battery went dead, had to jump to start. Now sunroof will not close from vent (seal shut). Also the other day the brake lights and reverse lights came on and stayed on after shutting the car off. car was in park and the key removed. I have never experienced anything like this. Is it a computer issue or perhaps a bad battery problem?

There is a black control box on the drivers side in a big black box where you push the catch over to lift the top off. Remove the biggest box in there and your lights and stuff should go out. This box controls the other stuff your having trouble with too. Sounds like you have a bad control box maybe with some water in it?

Press and hold the sunroof switch in the close position for about 10 seconds. This should reset it.
If it does not the issue may be in the General Module or simply a fuse but I believe the windows are on the same circuit.
As for the brake and reverse lights I'd suspect a short. This can almost anywhere including under the driver's seat (try moving it to see if this fixes it) and even the ignition switch.
Get it to BMW to go on the computer.
