2003 bmw m3 or 2008 mercedes c300?

i was thinking about the insurance cost and the repair costs for both these cars and i'm unsure of what to buy. The cars are not a problem to purchase, my parents are willing to buy either one of them, but for long term which car would be better. This is my 3rd car and i'm 18 years old. i heard that the mercedes has alot of fixing problems, so i'm stuck between the two. Can anyone give me suggestions ? thanks for the reply

First of all, you suck.

Second, choose the Bimmer. It's a real peach and the Merc is a dog. Trust me on this one. The BMW outperforms the Merc in every category, is built 1000% better and is more reliable as well.

This is not really a comparaison.

It depends on what are you looking for.

The M3 is a coupe great sport fast car. The C300 is a sedan mid size luxury car. The Benz might have some fixing problems but so do the BMW M3. M series are complicated engineering and once it have a trouble .... you are in big trouble!

I would go for the C300 with a sport package. Great engine Great comfort, sporty look and it would definitly sells faster in 3 years than the M3. Also dont forget that you are buying a 2008 Benz. Which means you will have the best of technologie and motoring engineering...

They are German cars so both have problems, but BMW has less problems.

The BMW M3 is much much faster, but it is not comfortable at all. Not good for everyday driving.

The Mercedes has a smoother and quieter ride and more standard features and cheaper insurance.
Neither.

Go with a decent E46 non-M or regular C-class to start with. Maintain the car for a year or two. Then go with the M.

Thing about used German cars is that you need to find a good honest shop to work with.
