Unfortunately, I don't understand your question too well. You could always take it to an independent BMW workshop; instead of the dealer.

This series %26 year gets pretty good mileage- it should anyway unless there is a problem.

AMAZING engine this one, arguably their best to date - it sounds like an Enzo. TOO much fun - I wish BMW's still had this 'classic' look.

That's about 9 MPG US or 25l/100 km so yes that is excessive.

However it isn't that accurate. Your gauge can be off by as much as 10 litres once below 1/4 tank but even considering this that isn't very good even for city driving. You should see 15l/100km at the worst.

I would suspect the car is in default mode and that the temperature sensor thinks the engine is cold, or the engine never gets to operating temperature, or the fuel injector(s) are leaking, or the O2 sensor is defective.

It could also be a plugged air filter, low air in the tires, a vacuum leak, or a heavy right foot.

When the car is cold wipe the insides of the tail pipe. If your finger comes out sooty black you have a rich condition. If it is just dirty then it is probably something like low tires or driving style/conditions.
I used to own one of these!

Those car arent the best in town at fuel economy, the 3,5 liter engine is always hungry!

First of all try to change the air filter and the fuel filter. Then if the problem persist you can check your injectors. Mine broke twice which made the car runs slowly and a lot of fuel.

You can also try to change the o2 sensor.

You can check your muffler environment catalysor.

My final advice is: If your car is automatic, let your right foot be light on the pedal which will make the car throw shifts faster and this will make you gain some impressing fuel mileage.
that much gas i would say your pressure regualtor is dead,.
