My bmw 320i E46, started overheating when i got stuck in traffic, please need ideas as what to do to

I parked the car for over a month, and i just did oil service.I have added radiotor coolant, but that is still no helping. The double fans in the engine work perfectly well.

Joe is right i work a BMW and if it over heats just a little you can warp the heads and even the bolck deck, soulds like an easy fix the E46 is all computer controled, even if there is a problem the check engine light may not come on , you need to go the the dealership or a shop with a DIS (the computer used to talk to the car it is BMW specific) to get it checked before you end up buying a new engine

It sounds like your fan clutch is going bad. If it goes bad, it may still spin, but with weak strength and your engine may overheat in slow traffic.
With coolant (is it a 50/50 mix?) and fans out of the way, check these other items:

- Bleed radiator

Use a coin if you don't have a big enough screwdriver) Be careful not to break the plastic bleed screw. While you're at it, check to see if the outside of your radiator (the fins) are in god condition and not blocked by mud or something... hose it clean if it is.
