My bmw 316i compact?

drives fine,runs fine and starts first time every time,it has 11 months M O T.everything seems ok just that the power seems lacking-when i put my foot down it moves away quite sluggish,there doesnt seem to be any real kickdown !



Is this something they all are like or can anybody suggest what it may be,im not a mechanic so in the simplist terms possible please.thanks everyone

It its a manual, your clutch is probably slipping/ going out.



You have the smallest and lowest horsepower e46 3-series made. Did you know you only have 115hp? Your 0-60mph time is 11 seconds! Thats sluggish...

That's because its a very old car with not much power your better of buying a 321i most compact cars are like that though.
If its relatively new, then it's not built with much HP and will always be sluggish



If it's more than 10 years old, then it could be something else.



It's always helpful to state the year (and country) of the car.



I dont know what "11 months MOT" means in your question either.
