Are you sure this is what you mean? The speedometer on the 740il is not programable. However, there is an on board computer, which is what I think you are wanting, which reports on several functions, and can be programed to tell you when you will arrive in clock time, among others. The other functions (2 separate mileage reports, timer, interior vent turn on and off, and others) are covered in the owners manual. I have found you usually have to read these things as the BMW engineer mind and the computers are not always simple to understand. If this is not what you are seeking please expand your question.

Have you checked the BMW message boards - others may have asked the same question or some have the answer in the FAQ. From reading the BMW 318i manual - programming those features did not seem difficult but I did not have those features on my car.
Dr C is absolutely correct. The best way is to go to the manual or expand your question. If those fail for you, i'd recommemd seeing your local BMW dealer.
take it to a bmw dealer, its got to be done with a really expensive computer
