The 135ti will be coming to the US in mid 2008 as a 2009 model according to relatively reliable and a official announcement is expected later this year.
The 135ti is expected to have the same power output as the 335i and it will come in coupe, 2 door convertible while speculation is still ongoing about the 3 door and 5 door hatch.

Check out 1-series photos on internet - if anything it looks like a miniture X5. I can't wait to get one.
Looks like a PT Cruiser, hope it's not on a Neon frame like the PT is!!
