There were various combinations of optional equipment from the 2000 model and later BMW FIVE Series: There were two six cylinder cars, the 525i and the 530i, plus a 4.4 Litre V-8 identified as a 545i.

There were two six speed transmissions available in the 6 cylinder cars: the STEPTRONIC and the SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox).

All three FIVE series cars had SPORT Suspension and Active Roll Stabilization.

All three cars had Heads UP Displays, Active Cruise Control, and an On Board Navigation System.

All three cars had optional wheel sizes. The two six cylinder cars had Adaptive Xenon headlight control.

All three cars had optional front and rear Park Distance Control, plus Shadowline exterior trim, and various interior power seat controls.

your question is incomplete.check the years
I have owned a 97 528i and a 2000 528i with the sport package. The 99 had the same M tuned suspension as the 2000 but without the steptronic tranny. The suspension is firmer and much more responsive than the std suspension. You get 17 inch wheels which were much better looking than the std lace spoke 15 inchers. Also it comes with a different fatter steering wheel. The guy that answered before had a lot of his facts wrong. headsup smg and more etc. the v8 from 97 to 2003 was the 540, not the 545 which came with the new model which debuted in 2004. I have had 7 Bmw's in total. I loved the 2000 528i sport I once had. The only down side is the hi perf. 17inch tires don't last too long, but it really handles. Get a 2000 model if you can to get the steptronic tranny. Also the premium sound system (an option) is awesome. hope this helps
they drop the car and u get better tires and bigger wheels dats all
