BMW's are cool because the are good quality and high performance. the new m6s and m5s and can keep up with gallardos and have a similar 500hp v10 engine. they are also very luxurious and well built.

I dunno , I think it would be cool as heck to go cruising down the autobahn in a tall geared 1966 mustang. It would be like any rare car only ten times so in Germany. They'd be like "what was dat"

people drive BMW's because they have to much money and want to spend it on a WAY overpriced and underpowered import. and no germans wouldnt be coght dead in a ford thats like pamela anderson marrying the elephant man.
BMWs (old ones anyway, all the new ones suck balls) are cool because they are fast, reliable and good looking. Not bad on gas either.

BMWs carry a certain cachet because a) they offer high performance and luxury and b) they are expensive. They are NOT, however, especially reliable. So BMW is not cool because it's an import (is Kia cool?), it's cool because they make a nice car that appeals to status-conscious people. D
No, Ford is a disgrace. BMW are known for quality, luxury cars that are fun to drive.
